Silkscreen on glass, two parts,150 x 398 cm, 2001
and each 150 x 248 cm, 2008
part1: Behind glass there is a red, velvet curtain, and adjacent to it – separated from it by slender mullions – there is a green marble surface. On the left an uncurtained window allows a view of the interior of the house. The building and the red curtain shining through behind glass were photographed in the summer of 2000.
part 2: No Room exhibition,
Christopher Grimes Gallery, 2008
The works are installed as inversions of one another – one positive, the other negative – in a corner of the exhibition space. The redundancy of the reflection and mutual dependence in configuration recalls the experience of a house of mirrors.
